Обзор документов из фондов Российской государственной библиотеки и Российского государственного архива литературы и искусства, содержащих сведения о защитах в СССР творческих диссертаций (картин, скульптур, графических серий и т. п.) на соискание ученой степени кандидата искусствоведения

Согласно приказу Министерства высшего образования СССР № 524 от 30 сентября 1946 г. «О мерах по улучшению подготовки аспирантов художественных институтов» ученая степень кандидата искусствоведения могла была присуждена «деятелю искусств, художнику-аспиранту, за композиционную работу по специальности с представ - лением рисунков, этюдов и эскизов к ней, а также выставки всех этих материалов» 1. Документы из фондов Российской государственной библиотеки (РГБ) и Российского госу - дарственного архива литературы и искусства (РГАЛИ) содержат данные по состоявшим - ся в период с 1943 по 1956 год защитам творческих диссертаций (станковых картин, монументальной живописи, скульптур, графических серий, театрально-декорационной живописи), двадцать две из которых состоялись в Институте живописи, скульптуры и архитектуры имени И. Е. Репина, двадцать одна – в Московском государственном худо - жественном институте имени В. И. Сурикова. Проведенное исследование библиотечных и архивных фондов позволяет ввести в научный оборот не изученные ранее документы по истории советского изобразительного искусства, порядку присуждения ученых сте - пеней в СССР, а также работе творческой аспирантуры в ведущих художественных вузах страны. Диссертационные работы посвящены значимым темам истории и общественной жизни в Советском Союзе, многие из них имеют безусловную культурную и историче - скую ценность, вошли в состав Музейного фонда Российской Федерации.
